Track Name: Mind the Gap
Mind the Gap

Strands I swung from
first blonde then brunette
canyons, flung from
one side to the next

I leave myself behind and dive
because whatever I find
is better than lying dry
I'll live lives of every type
and every time I'll die
another kind of guy

You'll get there quick
if you never really stop to turn
but roll and spin
if you never want your world to burn

I'm through to a moonlit night
I left my day to find another sight
I step from a place of light
it hardly held my feet
I wanna run alright

These leaps take every little toll on me
No one could show me how to land on my feet

Gypsy eyes
calling me into shoes
change she sighs
one friend you'll never have to lose

Another wave, another wind
another little lake that bids me swim
home's shores are left again
comfort cries, saw off another friend

These leaps take every little toll on me
No one could teach me how to greet what I meet

I find an island
and lay in the sun
but come the night
and I am gone
Track Name: Couldn't Love You More
Couldn't Love You More

Steep me in the summer heat
roil me in the river deep
I've never been more
taken aback by the smiling eyes
and the joy that I take throwing forward time
I couldn't love you more

Given a gift and asked what in return?
Learn how to love, well I'd love to learn
Life in color

I couldn't love you more

I revel in the pleasure
and I revel in the pain
I am washed from head to toe
in fully living again
If something's gone astray
flying from day to day
I will bring upon my hate
and make it very afraid

I couldn't love you more
Track Name: Unscrew Corks
Unscrew Corks

He may be 23 but he's no me, baby, he's no me
And she may be 19 but she's not free, maybe she could be
Free...

So I sigh and sing myself to sleep beneath a Simpson's sky
All I ever asked of you was to unscrew corks in my eyes
What a wonderland we'd find

Lonely nights, we're not the types to lead diluted lives
That's why we try
These keys see my dreams and so can she see the me I'll be
When I'll be
Free...

Oooooh what a blunder running under the sun, my friend
What a wonder I am still myself in the end
Once I waited under thunder over head
What a wonder I am still myself in
The end
Track Name: Bridges
Bridges

Wind can wake you from a dream
or leave you be, not of late it seems

The wind will whip you with the switch it brings
The wind it sings of future things

Oh how I do not want to change
I've so arranged my time in space
I'm stirred in too once I'm out the door
what it is, I hope to know

The wind will chase the sun around
the clouds will always fall back down
the world our quiet quakes will shroud
and the will will build a higher ground

But down as the valleys surround me
the warmth of my race around me
I'm never alone

But high on peaks I fear for my life
I look our frailty in the eye
The winds of change have raised the blade
the skin of worlds is thin today

The wind will chase the sun around
the clouds will always fall back down
the world our quiet quakes will shroud
and the will will build a higher ground

On the ground how different it is
but I've been working on a bridge
And when I work I am never alone
the hardest friend I've ever known
is the wind that blows my soul
Track Name: Soup
Soup

Dreams. They say they're your own
but I doubt it's true
Where you're only a fire under a stew
And to see your light in another world's
only to see your world in another light

Soul. They say it's your own
but I doubt it's true
There are days you say your feel me
more than you feel you
Only can our little lights illuminate truth
only can our little lives slip into the soup

Seeing the world in the wink of the eye
of a girl in a dream is to see through a thin disguise
Hearing the voices of loves I have touched
in the way I speak my mind is not mine

Looking for something to call my own
when the world is not
and every bit of what I call myself is the world
I let whispers of words their own claim mine
'till I lie tongue tied
and it will take arms as wide as the sky
to untie

Fate. They say it's your own
but I doubt it's true
A hundred hands on you
and feet barely move
The only boot's made to push on through
and your only real need is to see that you do

Climbing a wall with quakes all around
always hurts my head when I fall to the ground
Slippery earth and shakes in the shroud
slides and tides I find when I wanted sound

Looking for something to call my own
when the world was not
and every bit of what I called myself was the world
I let whispers of words their own claim mine
'till I lied tongue tied
and it has taken hands stronger than life
to unwrite

Love. I say it's your own
and I know it's true
it's all I have to know you through
Up to high it shines a way
look back and black and white are grey

Track Name: Days
Days

Days when I wake with my soul in a timid ball
and days when it was tangled with yours
The ways in which the world is switching
bewitching me forever more
And days in which it's as if we wake to swim
through a land so unfamiliar
Tiny confusions, they collect on my eyes,
in my mouth and I am weighed into a lake
peculiar, peculiar, peculiar
the cool water's peculiar, but I like it
I tell you, I like it
it's nice, it's like it's a blanket now that I'm used to it

And I thank you, discontent,
for speeding me on my way
Praise be to loneliness for affording me my desire
What if all of this friction really holds it all together what now?
Priorities turn around

Doubts I collected on long walks that I took at night
and placed into a little jar
I climbed a bridge and threw them off the side
thought I'd not want them anymore

And then diving hands broke the water
and swam with what I'd lost back to land
That change, it came with what I'd cast away that day
the feeling felt without doubts was
bland, bland, planned
and now back on land
I'm making a stand in the quicksand

And I thank you, discontent, for speeding me on my way
Praise be to loneliness for affording me my desire
What if all of this friction really holds it all together what now?
Priorities turn around

Days when the faces in the fray that I see find me
and float us on a common wave
I'd tell you it was luck, but I believe
there may be more at play today
Track Name: Power (Requires Headphones)
Power

We see all these crimes
we meet all these slime
reading all these lines
and we all keep time

But though their faces strain
over the place they reign
and though they may lay blame
power will rearrange

Though if there's any way to stack those cards
you'd better bet they all will
and when to take a place you work so hard
you'd better bet they're all filled

And they may stay this way
doing just as they may
until the day we say
power rearrange
